Sarah Burnett-Murray has been immersed in the culture of co-op housing for as long as she can remember. She firmly believes in fostering the sharing of knowledge and community support within the co-op sector which is what inspired her to become increasingly involved four years ago.
In 2014, Sarah became a director on the co-op board where she resides and in 2016, she was elected to the Golden Horseshoe Co-operative Housing Federation (GHCHF) board of directors. In May of 2016, Sarah left her career in pharmacy to utilize a different aspect of her education and became a property manager for various co-operatives in the Central Ontario region.
In 2017, Sarah began her journey to becoming an instructor for the Central Ontario Co-operative Housing Federation (COCHF). Currently, Sarah manages two co-ops in the COCHF region and is the president of the co-op where she resides as well as the GHCHF.
