The Co-op Young Leaders (CYL) Summer Camp is a wonderful way for youth to boost their resume, make new friends, and create fun memories.  On an annual basis, COCHF provides a bursary for a co-op youth from our area to attend the Co-operative Young Leaders Camp (CYL), at no cost to the participant.  We will pay the registration fee for one youth (ages 12-18) to attend a summer youth retreat by the lake!

Eligibility Criteria: The CYL bursary recipient must live in a COCHF-member housing co-operative.

The Co-operative Young Leaders Program (CYL) is a summer camp experience for youth ages 12-18.

This series of week-long and/or weekend sessions brings young people together from all across Ontario to learn about and practice the international co-operative principles, communication, and leadership through games, team building and community projects.

For over 50 years, the CYL summer camp program has been educating and engaging youth in co-operatives. Since its inception in 1967, over 3,300 young people have gone through the program, thanks to the co-operatives and credit unions that have supported it over the years!
